ABOUT GLAMPERVAN

Glampervan has been manufacturing high-quality van conversions in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2015 for customers all across the country.  With the onset of this year’s travel challenges the demand for Glampervans is rising rapidly and we need to expand to meet the demand. We are a small but growing company that lives and breathes van-life, and tries to keep a healthy balance between building vans and enjoying the van experience. 

JOB SUMMARY

The Glampervan Materials Prep Associate position is an entry level role that performs manual labor preparing raw material goods for assembly and installation for van conversions. Workers will focus efforts on primarily routing, sanding, and finishing wood parts for assembly. Workers will mostly perform the same or similar task functions through the assembly process, but opportunities to rotate into other tasks may present themselves.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As part of a team, work to prepare raw materials (mostly wood and some metal).

  • Routes, sands, and finishes edges of wooden cabinet pieces with a high attention to detail.

  • Follow work instructions and specifications.

  • Once trained, can work with minimal direct oversight and can problem solve independently.

  • Operates and uses all equipment (Shop Vac, Rubber Mallet, Tape measure, Clamp) following standard work instructions and operating procedures.

  • Use hand power tools to perform job duties. Tools to include: handheld Drill/Driver, handheld & table mounted Router handheld Sander.

  • Practices good housekeeping daily by keeping work stations, kits, neighboring areas and aisles clean and accessible. 
     

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be reliable, have good initiative, be committed, and be quality focused.

  • Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.

  • Must have the ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Must have manual dexterity and the ability to carry out repetitive tasks efficiently and methodically. 

  • Possess ability to learn and maintain personal safety rules regarding work. 

  • Possess ability to work well with others and communicate effectively in small groups.

  • Possess able to perform simple mathematical calculations, ability to read shop drawings a plus.

  • Has a positive attitude with strong and established work ethic.

EDUCATION: High School or equivalent

EXPERIENCE: 1 year assembly, construction or fabrication preferred in related field

TYPE:

  • Contractor full-time (30 hrs/week min.)

  • Starts at $18-$20/hr

  • M-F Day shift 10am - 4pm (Flex)
