Tell us a bit about yourself

Lover of the great outdoors, explorer on the road, would like to become a gipsy but adventures in our Glampervan are the best next thing.

Why did you decide to get a van?

Life's too short to postpone anything adventurous or fun.

Why did you choose Glampervan for your build specifically?

I wanted a company specialized in the RAM Promaster and an interior design that was warm and cozy, with a 'home' feeling and not an RV feeling.

What features do you enjoy the most about your Glampervan?

The bed is super comfy, and we love sleeping in. The fridge fits more than we expected which allows us to be off the grid for a long time. The water heater and space heater are a must. But most importantly, knowing that your solar panels keep you powered no matter what.

How has your Glampervan experience been?

We had no issues with your van, the team at Glampervan is fun, friendly and responsive. The van is perfect for adventures, but also stealth when needed. Everywhere we go someone approaches us and is blown away by the craftsmanship of the interior.

Of all the places you've traveled in your Glampervan, which location has been your favorite?

It's hard to pick since we traveled across the country. We slept in the Dixie National Forest in Utah and were warm and cozy even in cold weather, thanks to the heater inside our van. We worked from the van while camping on top of the Colorado National Monument, the Lagun table is wide and perfect for a laptop plus a portable monitor. From Death Valley NP to Joshua Tree NP, Great Basin NP, you name it, everywhere we go, getting there late at night or in the rain is no issue with the outside lights and comfy bed.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I retired after a 35 year career. I love to travel and have always enjoyed the outdoors. As a younger person, I enjoyed backpacking, camping and mountain biking.

Why did you decide to get a van?

During the first year of the pandemic I didn't feel like I could travel safely. I had previously thought about buying a vehicle for travel and camping but had not been motivated enough to get past the "thinking" stage. By the summer of 2020 I realized it was time to take the leap to preserve my sanity.

Why did you choose Glampervan for your build specifically?

I considered a number of van conversion companies. Some were outside my price range and others did not have a design that fit my needs. I found Glampervan midway into my search and liked the design, liked that it was a Promaster build, and liked that I could pick and choose from a list of options to add to the basic build.

What features do you enjoy the most about your Glampervan?

The overall design takes great advantage of the space. The kitchen window allows visibility as well as a cross breeze through the van. The solar power makes van living more comfortable when there are no other energy sources. The Webasto has proven itself time and again and has kept the van cozy and warm in some fairly extreme temperatures. In short, I enjoy just about everything in the van.

How has your Glampervan experience been?

My experience has exceeded my expectations. The Glampervan team was wonderful to work with and has continued to provide support post purchase. The owner network is a great source of information and ideas. The van has made travel convenient and the design is perfect for my needs. In the 16 months I have had the van, I have travelled over 32,000 miles.

Of all the places you've traveled in your Glampervan, which location has been your favorite?

I have travelled to a number of parks that I never took the time to visit as a younger person. They are all unique but Dog Canyon Campground in Guadalupe Mountain National Park, Many Glacier Campground in Glacier National Park and Fruita Campground in Capitol Reef National Park have been some of my favorites. Fruita is not the most scenic campground but it makes the list due to its proximity to beautiful hikes and drives.

Tell us a bit about yourself

We are retired now and have always been enthusiastic travelers. When we're on the road we already talking about our next travels, domestic or overseas? There's so much in the US we want to see.

Why did you decide to get a van?

Years ago we traveled the west coast in a 72 VW Westy, and always wanted to go bigger but not to an RV, when we saw the different options available it was clear the Promaster conversion was the perfect size for us.

Why did you choose Glampervan for your build specifically?

Once we decided on a Promaster, we checked many of the conversion outfits all over the US, and since we lived so close to the build center it was easy to drop in to see the process and meet the gang there, we stopped in for van visits twice before going for it.

What features do you enjoy the most about your Glampervan?

We enjoy the styling and attention to detail that the interior reveals, plus there's tons of room for meal prep too, the webasto heater has been wonderful, we've been down to 19 degrees without any problems!

How has your Glampervan experience been?

We bought a used Promaster cargo van with 10K miles on it and it's held up well! We've had reason to use the service center too, once to replace both Maxxfans which I destroyed driving under a super low parking structure, what a bummer. We made an appt and drove up and the guys replaced both fans in under 2 hours, previous to that we had to replace a defective fan due to some electrical issue within the fan. Both times the service was fast and everyone I met was super friendly, plus also asking if there's anything else they can do, like tightening screws or like that from all those horrible roads we've been on. It's great knowing they'll be there if we need help and it'll be a thorough fix whatever they do.

Of all the places you've traveled in your Glampervan, which location has been your favorite?

We're going to have to note 2 places. First just outside of Glacier NP we boondocked on the Flathead River, drove the rig right out on the the stony rock bed and camped, had beers and flyfished, it was as perfect as you can get just living the dream. Then also out to the Badlands NP to the Sage Creek campground there's a loop where everyone camps. Initially we took pictures of Bison grazing about a half mile away, very cool. Eventually they mosied right up to the campground, and one lumbered right up to our van, my wife had to slip around the van to stay safely away from this monster! It was quite an experience for us and everyone around there.
